About Me: : I currently serve as the District Mental Health Specialist for the Union County Schools. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia (LPC008450) and possesses extensive experience in assisting students and parents with educational and behavioral challenges. I am dedicated to collaborating with individuals to identify effective solutions and accommodations that foster success for students and their families. I firmly believes in the potential of every person to grow and thrive in their personal and professional lives.
I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of West Georgia in 1998, followed by a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling in 2003, and an Education Specialist degree in Guidance and Counseling in 2009. I have 22 years of experience as a school counselor, with several years of private practice
I am a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), the American School Counseling Association (ASCA), and the Georgia School Counselors Association (GSCA). I hold certifications from the National Board of Certified Counselors. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), a Nationally Certified School Counselor (NCSC), Board Certified TeleMental Health Provider (BC-TMH), as well as Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS). I am also a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS).
In his role as the District Mental Health Specialist, Nicholas not only supports the students and families within the Union County School System but also serves as a counselor at the Mountain Education Charter High School, Blairsville Campus.
Requirements to Work With Me : -A Masters level clinician working towards full licensure in the state of GA. APC status preferred.
