Supervision with Me: A Space for Growth and Confidence
As a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor in Georgia and a trauma-informed therapist, I bring both structure and compassion to the supervision process. My approach is grounded in cognitive-behavioral and dialectical behavior-informed models, while also honoring your unique strengths and style as a developing clinician.
In our work together, supervision isn’t just about reviewing cases—it’s about you as a whole person and professional. I will encourage you to reflect on your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors as you show up for your clients. Why? Because how you care for yourself directly shapes how you show up in the therapy room. My role is to provide consistent guidance, support, and encouragement as you navigate your associate-level training and prepare for independent practice.
What You Can Expect from Supervision with Me:
A Supportive Space: A safe, collaborative environment where you can openly explore challenges and celebrate growth.
Skill Development: Opportunities to strengthen your clinical skills, deepen your understanding of the therapeutic process, and build confidence in your interventions.
Constructive Feedback: Practical, honest, and encouraging feedback that helps you refine your professional identity.
Growth Beyond Technique: Support in recognizing and addressing your personal reactions to client work, so you can grow in resilience, authenticity, and self-awareness.
Professional Identity Building: Guidance in developing your voice, values, and niche as a counselor, preparing you for a fulfilling and sustainable career.
The Bottom Line:
Supervision with me is about more than meeting requirements—it’s about cultivating confidence, resilience, and professional excellence. My goal is to walk alongside you as you gain the skills, insights, and balance needed to thrive in your counseling career.
I also know how hard it can be to juggle direct experience hours with the rest of life. To make things easier, I offer evening and weekend sessions so your supervision can fit more smoothly into your schedule.
