Description

Bullet, expressive, art and letter writing are all strategies that encourage emotional processing and self-reflection which are a part of the person-centered approach used by the presenter when working with individuals, families, couples and groups. Journaling is an effective therapeutic technique that uses reflection to process emotions and thoughts. Self-awareness is an important part of therapy as a whole and journaling encourages it by using evidence-based prompts or mindfulness. Mindfulness is a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations. This training will focus on bullet journaling, expressive/letter writing and art journaling. This workshop is approved for 4 CORE hours.
