Tuesday, August 12, 2025 (1:00 PM - 2:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

Join us for an overview of understudied populations in the context of dementia. Drs. Monica Parker and Antoine Trammell will present on how cultural values, historical context, and health disparities may inuence how understudied individuals and families perceive dementia and engage with healthcare. They will also identify key health disparities and socioeconomic factors that contribute to increased dementia risk and delayed diagnosis in understudied individuals and discuss how to apply culturally responsive approaches when building trust and conducting assessments with understudied patients and care partners. This workshop is approved for 1 CORE hour of continuing education credit for Georgia-licensed psychotherapists. It is free to attend, but registration is required!
