Sunday, December 15, 2024 (9:00 AM - 3:30 PM) (EST)
Description
Clinical supervisors must have a deep understanding of the ethical principles, rules, and licensing laws that govern the counseling profession in their state. This course provides an in-depth examination of these regulations and the changes that have been made over the past 5 years by the Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage and Family Therapists regarding licensure of professional counselors. Participants will be engaged with a dynamic blend of lecture, interactive group discussions, case studies, and quizzes to increase their understanding of Georgia's ethical and licensing requirements for counselors and clinical supervision. By the conclusion of this course, participants will be better prepared to navigate the complex ethical landscape of supervision, ensuring the ethical development and growth of the counselors they oversee while upholding the highest professional standards mandated by the Georgia Composite Board. This workshop is approved for 6 ETHIC & 6 SUPERVISION hours.
