Metacognitive Approach for Anxiety and Depression

Description

Metacognitive Therapy focuses on helping individuals change their beliefs about their thoughts and emotions through understanding how attention to worry, rumination, and threat monitoring exacerbates emotional distress. Learning how to explain this process to clients, as well as demonstrating the ability to change beliefs will be presented to participants. 

Presenter: Emily H. Newberry, LPC, CPCS, CCH 

Emily has over 25 years of experience in the behavioral health field. She currently owns a private practice located in Macon, GA. She provides individual and family therapy, specializing in anxiety and OCD. Her other specialties include addiction recovery and sports performance.
