This presentation is designed to help clinicians with their diagnostic confidence. I will discuss how symptoms change over time and within diagnoses; factors that influence diagnostic changes; the fallacy of identifying with diagnoses; and instilling hope in clients within their diagnostic labels.

This is a Lunch & Learn from 12m-2pm. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch. The first hour will focus on symptoms versus diagnoses; and how they evolve over time. The second hour will be devoted to the fallacy of identifying with a diagnosis, and how to communicate diagnoses through a lens of hope rather than deficit/impairment.
