Description
This program provides mental health professionals with advanced knowledge and practical interventions for addressing relational and sexual issues within couples therapy. The course integrates developmental, biopsychosocial, and systemic perspectives to guide clinicians in effectively supporting couples struggling with sexual dissatisfaction, performance issues, and relational disconnect. The training also addresses the impact of trauma, attachment styles, and identity factors (e.g., gender, sexual orientation, cultural background) on sexual functioning and relational dynamics. Participants will gain practical tools for fostering open dialogue about sex, reducing shame, and facilitating collaborative treatment planning that honors each partner’s needs and boundaries.
