Harm Reduction

Description

Harm Reduction group refers to a form of treatment aimed at minimizing the negative health, social, and legal impacts associated with drug use. It can be run as a weekly group or individual therapy for those who want to make better decisions about their use of drugs and/or alcohol in a safe space without judgment. This training on Harm Reduction teaches clinicians to assist clients in exploring their relationship with substances, learn more about the advantages and disadvantages of the relationship, the effects of substances on our bodies, the stages of change, goal setting regarding substances, and how they can better care for themselves.
