Ethical Boundaries and the Therapeutic Frame

Saturday, November 8, 2025 (9:00 AM - 3:15 PM) (EST)

Description

This 5-hour continuing education training uses fictional case studies inspired by Lying on the Couch by Irvin D. Yalom to explore complex ethical dilemmas in clinical practice. Designed for licensed and license-eligible counselors, this interactive session examines therapist-client dynamics, boundary violations, supervision failures, and impaired professional functioning. Participants are not required to read the novel. Case scenarios, ethical decision-making models, and the ACA Code of Ethics guide discussions, worksheets, and reflective activities that promote ethical awareness and practical application.
