Creating Space For Grief

Creating Space For Grief

Friday, September 26, 2025 (10:00 AM - 5:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

Grief is a complex and deeply personal process that often transcends words. This workshop is designed for mental health professionals seeking to deepen their understanding of grief through the lens of art making. Participants will engage in experiential, clinically grounded creative interventions that support emotional expression, narrative processing, and meaning-making. Guest speaker, Brent Tolbert, President and Funeral Director of Hillside Memorial Chapel and Gardens will offer valuable insight into death care practices and the psychological significance of rituals and farewells. This workshop provides both reflective and practical tools for grief-informed care in clinical practice. No prior art experience is required. This workshop is limited to 18 people.
