Breaking the Cycle: Interdisciplinary Collaboration in Mental Health and Domestic Violence Prevention

Description
The overarching goal of our program is to strengthen attendee competencies related to the complex factors associated with domestic violence and to enhance their skills in addressing the diverse needs of survivors of domestic violence to improve mental health outcomes for this population.
The program consists of five sessions:
(1) Welcome Address: Introduction to Interdisciplinary Collaboration in Domestic Violence and Mental Health,
(2) Panel Discussion & Lived Experience Testimony- The Intersection of Domestic Violence and Mental Health,
(3) Psychological Assessment and Reporting,
(4) Couples De-Escalation, and
(5) Legal Issues Affecting Survivors.
The workshop provides a comprehensive framework for interdisciplinary collaboration, assessment, intervention, and advocacy, equipping attendees with essential tools to support survivors and their families.
