This training explores how masculine norms, trauma, and identity shape engagement in long-term residential substance use treatment. Participants will learn practical, culturally responsive strategies to build trust, foster emotional safety, and promote connection among male clients. Through research, case studies, and action-oriented tools, this session equips providers to move beyond compliance and create environments where men feel safe enough to stay, open enough to grow, and empowered enough to change.
