Advanced Clinical Supervisor: Next Level Tools for Ethical Supervision

Saturday, July 12, 2025

Description

Geared toward clinical supervisors, this interactive workshop offers practical, culturally responsive tools for the holistic development of supervisees. Advanced supervisors will enhance their ability to support stagnated or confused supervisees and guide them toward integrated clinical practice. Using Loganbill, Hardy, and Delworth’s (1982) developmental model, participants will explore eight key areas: Competence, Emotional Awareness, Autonomy, Theoretical Identity, Respect for Differences, Purpose, Motivation, and Ethics. The model simplifies supervision for beginners and deepens insight for experienced supervisors. Case vignettes will highlight diversity, ethics, and culturally responsive supervision practices. Discussions will reference the ACES Best Practices in Supervision and the ACA Codes of Ethics.
