Kids and teens of all ages need help learning how to identify, express, and cope with their emotions. Designed by behavioral and mental health experts at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Strong4Life program, this training is designed for key stakeholders in the lives of youth. They have a unique opportunity to promote emotional wellness and foster resilience, so all kids and teens can learn needed skills to handle life’s ups and downs. Free, downloadable resources and materials from the Strong4Life website will be discussed as part of the training. 

Learning Objective #1: Participants will increase knowledge of strategies that build resilience in school aged youth.

Learning Objective #2: Participants will recognize how awareness, identification, expression, and management of feelings influence emotional development.

 Learning Objective #3: Participants will recognize how communication contributes to healthy emotional development.

SPEAKER
	Lauren Gordon is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor, and Registered Drama Therapist. She is presenting on behalf Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Strong4Life Program, where she is currently implementing emotional wellness programming in schools. Before joining Strong4Life, Lauren provided direct therapeutic services in schools as well as program management and clinical supervision for other school-based therapists. Other clinical experiences have included providing therapeutic support to children, young adults, and their families across three states in outpatient and at home settings.
