SAGE Mental Wellness Center, a sex positive, all-inclusive, LGBTQ+ affirming, mental health group practice is now hiring. We are seeking LPCs, LCSWs, MFTs, and APCs (or applicants). Associate MFTs or SWs are welcome to apply if you have your own supervisor. We are based in Columbus, GA and have an in-person office location in Columbus, but primarily operate as a video therapy only practice. This position is perfect for anyone who is interested in private practice but anxious about leaving the security of their current position, you just want to pick up a few client's for added income, you only accept private pay but have a few clients you would like to see who want or need to use insurance, or you are seeking a position as an associate professional counselor and want to earn hours toward your independent license. All employees of SAGE Mental Wellness Center must agree to accept all health insurance plans we are in-network with.

All staff members are W2 employees and paid every Friday for all hours completed during the prior week so there is minimal delay between providing the service and receiving payment. “Completed hours” for clients using health insurance will not be counted until the employee completes, signs, and locks the progress note so that the claim can be billed to the client’s insurance. Salary is a percentage of the session fee dependent upon licensure status and experience. 

All employees are potentially eligible for health insurance after 30 days of employment.

What is the position like? For independently licensed clinicians working for SAGE Mental Wellness Center will be almost like you have your own practice except that we provide the EHR, Insurance Billing, advertising, and most administrative duties. You have full autonomy over your schedule, your caseload, if you offer a sliding fee scale, issues or populations you will and won’t work with, and enforcement of cancelation policies. We provide full transparency of all insurance payments so you can trust and verify that you are receiving the correct amount based on the fee split

For Associate level clinicians you also have autonomy over your schedule as long as your schedule aligns with an independently licensed clinician who can immediately join your session and can sign a 1013 if required. Associate level counselors must agree to the contract terms for supervision which may include being observed or recorded during sessions and being required to attend four hours of supervision per month. SAGE Mental Wellness Center provides 50% of the payment for Associate level counselor’s supervision fees and the Associate level counselor is responsible for the other half of their supervision fees, this can be deducted from your paychecks for convenience purposes at your request.  

No employees are required to offer sex therapy but are required to work from a sex positive perspective. We encourage personal and professional growth and invite all counselors to apply especially if we do not list your preferred population, issues, or treatment modalities on our website.
