This will be a Hybrid position.

Join our new Nora Mental Health location in Gwinnett County, Georgia as an outpatient Mental Health therapist. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants flexible hours to make their own schedule and is ready to join a growing practice with a great team. Our Norcross location is anticipated to open in January 2025.

If you are looking for a relaxed, team-focused, private practice atmosphere then we would love to hear from you! Our offices are available Monday through Saturday to fit you and your client's schedules. If you already have a part-time position elsewhere, this is a perfect opportunity to expand your caseload.

We are also looking for a clinician with an established referral network. If you are skilled at networking, that is a plus!

Job Description: This position is responsible for providing effective mental health intervention to assigned clients (children, adolescents, and adults), coordinating with primary care physicians, referrers, insurance carriers or other agencies, completing and maintaining documentation and records.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Meets with clients to assess their needs, provides complete diagnosis, and in collaboration with clients, determines manageable problem focus and treatment priorities. Clients may include: children, adolescents, families, adults, and elders.
  • Presents timely treatment plans to electronic medical records software.
  • Interacts effectively with each client. Works with clients and, when appropriate, their support systems to produce behavioral, cognitive, and/or emotional changes that meet treatment goals. Evaluates client progress and revises treatment plans as needed.
  • Works collaboratively with payers, referrers, primary care physicians, and community agencies in providing effective treatment to clients.
  • Completes all necessary documentation within required time parameters for each client. For example: assessments and treatment plans, insurance authorizations, problem-oriented progress notes, and treatment summaries.
  • Maintains current licensed status and, if applicable, obtains licensure as agreed upon hire. Adapts to new developments in the field through continuing education.
  • Must have basic computer skills: Ability to navigate the internet and basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate Degree in social work, mental health counseling, clinical psychology, marriage and family therapy, counseling or counseling psychology from an accredited institution
  • Must be licensed or license eligible (LCSW, LMHC, LPC, Ed.D, Psy.D, Ph.D) and have completed all coursework for licensure
  • Be familiar and sensitive to diverse cultures and ethnicity

We offer competitive compensation and provide two models to allow for flexibility based on each person’s needs!

  • Shared revenue based on a percentage of collections and paid monthly
  • Hourly rate based on client sessions per week and paid biweekly
  • Additional stipends for bringing active clients to the practice.

Health insurance stipend of up to $500 monthly for full-time clinicians based on client hours plus $160 CEU credit annually. Our medical billing team is already set up and manages the billing and payments! If you apply and we hire you, you will be credentialed by our team with all insurance panels.

This is a 1099 position allowing flexibility to manage your own time and schedule.

Pay: $45-$50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
