Licensed Counselor-Outpatient Treatment
Pathways Center's Outpatient Treatment program provides services that include, but are not limited to, individual, group, and family education and counseling. This program offers comprehensive, coordinated, and defined services that vary in level of intensity. Outpatient services address a variety of needs such as situational stressors, family relations, interpersonal relationships, mental health issues, life span issues, psychiatric illnesses, addictions, and the needs of victims of abuse and/or trauma. The Outpatient Treatment program works jointly with the person served to maximize their functioning and manage the symptoms of their current situation. The program is designed to enhance the strengths of the individual through recognized treatment interventions.
The responsibilities for the Licensed Counselor position include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide professional level therapeutic services to persons with mental illness and/or addictive disease.
- Arrange appointment schedules at optimal intervals to maximize use of work time.
- Conduct face to face comprehensive assessments to identify problems and service needs.
- Develop individualized service plans to meet third party payer requirements, regulatory guidelines, and individuals needs which are clear, concise, grammatically correct, timely and properly coded.
- Provide individual, family or group therapeutic counseling and/or educational and skill development sessions as indicated in the service plan.
- Write timely progress notes that relate directly to the treatment outcomes.
- Modify treatment plans based on new developments and needs identified by the individual.
- May provide services during non-traditional hours as indicated by program needs.
- May perform some case management duties to facilitate and ensure communication, linkage, and continuity of care between individuals, physicians, other organizational components, community resources and service providers.
- Develop; and maintain cooperative working relationships with community service providers, referring agencies such as probation, parole, and court system and other program components.
- Perform intake, evaluation, treatment planning, and counseling of individuals with substance abuse challenges
- Provide addictive disease treatment in both individual and group modalities
- Complete routine urine and hair follicle drug screens
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate or full professional licensure in the state of Georgia as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT
CAC1 or equally recognized substance abuse certification equivalent or higher
Experience working with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) System
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in the behavioral healthcare field
National Certified Addiction Counselor II or Master Certified Addiction Counselor
