About
I am a dedicated and compassionate mental health professional in training with a robust educational background and diverse clinical experience. I am completing (July 2024) a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University, and have obtained two Bachelor of Science degrees from Old Dominion University—one in Psychology (2020) and the other in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Leadership (2018).
Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have actively engaged in research and knowledge dissemination. I presented my research at the prestigious Atlanta Research Conference (2022 and 2024) and shared my insights through a poster presentation at the LPCAGA convention (2024). The focus of my current research is on the efficacy of ecotherapeutic interventions specifically with Black women experiencing psychological distress.
My hands-on experience spans across various facets of mental health counseling. I am proficient in utilizing electronic health records to enhance patient care and streamline documentation. My clinical practice includes conducting individual, family, and group therapy sessions, tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each client. Additionally, I have embraced the evolving landscape of mental health services by delivering effective therapy through telehealth platforms.
My commitment to improving mental health and well-being drives my continuous pursuit of knowledge and professional growth. I am eager to connect with like-minded professionals and contribute to the advancement of the mental health field.
