About

Dr. Gwendolyn Martin, who goes by the name Dr. Gwen, absolutely loves and is very passionate about helping others. She has dedicated the past 25+ years to working with children and adults during times of stress and struggle.

Dr. Gwen began her career as a special education teacher (behavior disorders) and went on to become a school counselor, and served as an interim assistant principal. She has also worked in community mental health.  In addition, Dr. Gwen has worked at the collegiate level as a University Counselor and an Adjunct Professor.

Her training has prepared her to work with clients pre-school through adults. She uses cognitive-behavioral approaches with her clients to identify and resolve unhealthy patterns of behaviors. Clients describe Dr. Gwen as caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, engaging, and solution-focused.
