Carleen is a Licensed Professional Counselor who enjoys working with adults, adolescents, families and couples. She is the former Director of Clinical Services for the Summit Counseling Center, a Certified Professional Counseling Supervisor (CPCS), and a nationally Accredited Counseling Supervisor (ACS). Carleen finds it an honor to help her clients define their goals, find their inner compass and create the life they have always imagined. She fundamentally believes that we are all looking for love and belonging and that we are innately driven towards positive growth. Her goal is to walk beside her clients as they navigate their journey towards increased hope, enhanced life satisfaction, greater spirituality and sustainable peace.

Carleen specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, grief and loss. Carleen is a Certified Daring Way Facilitator specializing in the work of Brene Brown. She is also an intensively trained DBT therapist who works extensively with dysregulated emotions, self-harming behaviors and suicidal ideation. She is an experienced marriage counselor and works with couples in all stages of their relationship: Premarital Counseling, Marriage Counseling and Discernment Counseling.

Carleen spent the first thirty three years of her life in California and worked as a health and wellness consultant to many Southern California companies. She moved to Georgia with her husband and three small children 25 years ago. Here in Georgia she began her career in counseling. She has been married to her husband Mark for 31 years and they have three grown children.
