Mrs. Jones-Bennett is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. She is a Certified Parent Educator, a Certified Anger Management Specialist II, and Certified Educator in School Counseling. She is a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor and a Certified Master Addiction Counselor. Also, she is a Certified Instructor for Substance Abuse, Domestic Violence, and Sexual, Physical, & Emotional Abuse. Additionally, she founded and serves as Chairperson of Southside Positive Intervention Coalition for Education (S.P.I.C.E.) which is a local non-profit organization organized to give guidance and encouragement to at-risk teenage, minority, young males in the community through counseling, programming, and scholarship.
She is a member of the American Counselors Association, the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia, Alpha Kappa Delta International Honor Society of Sociology, and an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
A native of Georgia, she earned associate degrees in secondary education and social work from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, GA; a bachelor of science degree in sociology and a master of sociology degree with a concentration in social work from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, GA, with highest honors, and a master of education degree in school counseling from Albany State University in Albany, GA with high honors.
