About
I have been working in the helping profession since 2007. I enjoy working with adult individuals who experience difficulty coping with life changing experiences, mental health, and behavioral health issues. I am a national certified counselor with areas of specialty in trauma, grief, and professional counselor supervision. I also have special interest in mood disorders and intergenerational trauma. I provide counseling services in a non-judgmental way, allowing clients the freedom to communicate openly in a safe environment. Treatment modalities include trauma informed cognitive behavioral, person-centered, and motivational interviewing therapies. I take great pride in helping others grow through their journey called life.
I am a licensed professional counselor in the states of Georgia and Oklahoma. I have practiced counseling in community, private practice, partial hospital, acute hospital, and residential settings. My education includes a bachelor of science degree from the University of West Alabama in biology education and a master of science degree from Southern Nazarene University in counseling psychology. My master’s thesis entitled “Extended Family Support: Making a Difference in the Attachment Styles of Adult Children of Divorce” was published in the Journal of Scientific Psychology.
