About
The human condition has always been a deep interest of mine, so naturally, I became a psychotherapist. I have been in the field of mental health and psychotherapy since earning my Master's degree in Community Counseling from Georgia State University in 1986. My Professional Counselor license, number 1731, was first earned in 1991. Extensive hospital, clinic and private practice work has given me a wide range of training and experience. I have received specialized trainings in cognitive behavioral therapy, experiential psychology, trauma informed therapy, grief therapy, dual diagnosis disorders, clinical supervision, and more. This learning has helped me to help hundreds of people for well over 35 years.
A belief I hold dear is that we can learn to become more mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually healthy and whole, regardless of past or present circumstances. My aim is to use whatever therapeutic modalities fit the individual’s needs to empower them to work through barriers to happiness and health; to connect with their inner strengths and become Whole.
