Dunia Lobo brings over 20 years of experience in promoting mental health, personal growth, and wellness for children, adolescents, and adults. She began her professional journey with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from La Universidad Independiente de Costa Rica, followed by a Master’s degree in Counseling and Psychological Services from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.

She has met rigorous standards to become a licensed, certified, and registered mental health provider. She holds credentials as a Georgia Board Licensed Professional Counselor, a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor, and a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor.

Dunia’s therapeutic approach is holistic, considering each client’s mind, body, and spirit. She strongly believes in the human capacity to learn, grow, heal, and overcome life’s challenges. She supports and empowers her clients, equipping them with the tools and knowledge necessary for their personal journeys.

Her expertise spans a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including play therapy, hypnotherapy, the counting method, progressive counting, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), the downward arrow technique, and exposure response prevention (ERP). She is also a sandtray therapy expert and a level 2 eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR) trained, currently in her intermediate level and progressing towards becoming a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP).
