About
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) working to serve the mental health needs of the Columbus community through private practice and non-profit organization platforms since 2018. I earned my Bachelor’s degree at the University of Louisville in 2005 and my Master’s in Counseling in 2007 from the University of Maryland University College’s Europe Campus.
I have almost 20 years experience working in mental health settings, serving populations including military members and families, low-income, indigent and substance abuse recovery populations in inpatient and outpatient settings. For the past four years I have worked in a non-profit outpatient setting, working with adults, adolescents and couples addressing a variety of problems including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship and adjustment problems, OCD, Bipolar and more.
I utilize evidenced-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing to bring about positive change with client-centered treatment planning.
In January 2025, I became the Clinical Training Director for our Center's training program for Interns and Post-Graduate Residents. As an organization we are continually working to provide quality educational and practical experiences for new counselors to gain vital insight and skills into becoming competent mental health providers with the goal of increasing access to quality mental health care for our community.
