Play Therapy’s Long Lost Cousin: Experiential Adventure

Building Blocks is offering a unique opportunity this fall to get your CEUs. This will be a 6 hour workshop. The morning hours are offered at the Building Blocks facility with a telehealth option. Then the afternoon is offered outside at the park down the road. We have designed the program this way to be both informative and experiential. While at the facility we will focus on theoretical approaches to integrate with play therapy such as Stages of Change, Family Systems, Trauma Informed, Strengths Based, Experiential Learning, Equine Therapy, CBT & DBT. We will also focus on how to incorporate play therapy with diagnoses such as, but not limited to; Poor Academic Performance, Developmental Delays, and Disruptive or Aggressive Behaviors. While at the park we will focus on several outdoor play therapy activity ideas to help the families that you are working with. We will emphasize adaptations for varying situations, lifestyles, and personalities. This workshop is approved for 6 CORE hours.
