Neurodiverse Women and Girls: Competent Care for ADHD & Autism

November 22, 2024 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM (EST)

Description

In this workshop, the voices and experiences of women with ADHD, Autism, and AuDHD will be included throughout the presentation. We will review current research and thinking on the experiences, challenges, and treatment of women and girls with ADHD, Autism, and AuDHD, centering on ways to shift our clients’ understanding of neurodiversity to reduce shame and assist them in learning how to thrive with a neurodiverse brain. This workshop seeks to assist clinicians in becoming neurodiversity-affirming therapists, working alongside our clients to assist them in embracing their unique brains and leaning into their lived experiences through assessment, appreciation of sensory sensitivities, collaborative coaching, functional analysis, and individualized therapeutic treatment approaches. This workshop is approved for 5 CORE hours.

Location

The location is online (synchronous).
