Join us for an essential GMNtalks session designed for Community Services Educators (CSEs) and professionals working with MCI/dementia patient populations. This training will focus on:Recognizing Abuse and Self-Neglect: Learn to identify the warning signs of abuse and self-neglect in vulnerable populations, including those with mild cognitive impairment and dementia.Making the APS Referral: Understand the criteria and appropriate circumstances for making a referral to Adult Protective Services.The Referral Process: Gain insights into what happens after a referral is made, from investigation to intervention, ensuring the safety and well-being of the individuals involved.This session will empower you with the knowledge and tools needed to protect at-risk individuals, providing a crucial layer of support in your professional role. This workshop is approved for 1 CORE hour.
